I know you are disappointed that we platinum/diamond member only get 7X points reward instead of the 10X points this time.

So let’s do the math to see how much dollar value or discount we get from the 7x points offer.

I am a Diamond member, so my base point is 1.5. Platinum member base point is 1.25 and the regular member is 1. If I buy anything on the Beauty Stars category, I earn 7.5x points per dollar spent.

Now I have $128 value item in my cart. 

Pay with cash, earning 960 points <=> 128 * 7.5 => 960 points * 0.063(redeem points in 2000 increments) =>$60.48 value => 60.48 / 128 => 47% off

Pay with 2000 points, earning 772 pionts. {Why less points? Because I lose the 1.5 base points when I pay with my points.} 772 points => 772 points * 0.063(redeem points in 2000 increments) => $46.32 value => 48.64 / 128 => 38% off

All in all, 7x points is still better than 20% off coupon for me. You earn these points now, then use them when there is 20% off coupon!
