UPDATE Uban Decay Rewards Program – Beauty Junkies
UPDATE: It seems that the UD Beauty Junkies program is not quite perfect yet! You might run into some problems if you are getting your free birthday gift with regular priced item purchase.
In my account, if I order something under $50, I get an alert on the top telling me that I need to spend more $$$ to reach $50 for free shipping, although no shipping cost in the total amount.
Hopefully UD will fix these issues soon.
Here is a very helpful comment from reader Ann.
The UD Junkie program is only worth it for the free shipping. I recieved a code for my bday gift, which is a 24/7 eyeliner (my choice of color) with purchase of a regular priced item. The code does not work while logged into my UD account. I chatted with an UD rep and also confirmed by email that in order for my code to work, I have to check out as a “guest”. Checking out as a guest doesn’t give me free shipping. So I have to chat or call to give them my order number so they can add the purchase points to my account, then they will refund me the shipping charges AFTER my item ships. It’s too much of a hastle for an eyeliner. For the $10 off for reaching 100 points does not become valid until AFTER you place your 1st order as rewards member. I have 125 points from reviews, recommending people, adding social media, etc. and my $10 off won’t become valid until I make a purchase for the 1st time as an UD Junkie. I know it’s new program so hopefully it will improve as it goes along, if not then atleast theres free shipping.

My Space NK Powder Brush purchase
I made this purchase about one and half month ago. The Space NK brand Powder Brush is $10, regularly $40.
I paid $0 + tax + free shipping.

About this Space NK Powder Brush – DO NOT BUY! And, I will stay away any Space NK brand brushes. It’s made cheap.
My complaints:
- My biggest complaint – the smell is nauseating once I opened the package. It’s kinda hard to describe. It might come from improper storage or the way it was made, yucky chemicals?! I washed it multiple times and let it air out for over a month, then I could start to use it. And, the smell is still there if I pay attention to it.
- It sheds during washing and applying the powder.
- It loses black coloring during the wash.
- It was described as goat hair, but it feel quite synthetic to me
- Yes, it’s soft but still scratchy.
I like Space NK, good customer service, got some good selections on skincare products, but not this brush! I am not returning this brush since it’s pretty much free to me. I just feel awkward to return. I really want to love it, but it is my backup brush right now.
