My Allure Beauty Box subscription experience:
- April 26th, I signed up Allure Beauty Box subscription for the LUNA Play in the May Box. As a new subscriber, I got $5 off. My payment is $10 for the 1st box.
- In May, I didn’t receive the May beauty box. I didn’t hear anything from Allure to tell that the May box would be skipped either.
- June 15th, I got an email from Allure for the shipment of June Beauty Box.
- June 19th, I canceled Allure beauty box online.
- June 20th, I got an email from Allure telling me that a ‘to make up’ bonus package was on the way.
Here are what in my Allure June Beauty Box, 6 items.
- Purlisse Blue Lotus Eye Adore Serum, 0.24 oz
- Purlisse Blue Lotus SPF 30 Essential Day Moisturizer, 0.5 oz
- Kardashian Beauty Cabana Bronze Matte Bronzer, full size
- Julep Nail Color in April, full size, a $14 value
- Klorane Dry Shampoo with oat milk, 1 oz
- Leaders Insolution Coconut Gel Mask with Tomato, 1 sheet
The ‘make up’ or ‘bonus’ package, 3 items in a mesh bag.
- Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging leave in conditioner, 0.85 oz
- derma e Hydrating Night Creme, 0.5 oz
- L’Occitane Divine Youth Oil, 0.1 oz
The total value of all the 9 items is definitely much higher than what I paid – $10! These are nice things to try out but I am not that excited about them.
Q: Am I happy with Allure Customer Service?
A: Not good in May, but better in June. It would be much better if they let us know that there is no May box to new subscribers at the first place than they sent out the ‘bonus’ package to make up the relationship.
Q: Will I subscribe to Allure Beauty Box again?
A: Good box, but not anytime soon.
