My Bluemercury purchase + free gifts

I made my Bluemercury purchase a couple weeks ago. I am still excited about it!

Highlights of the purchase:

  • Free 15 pcs gift with $50 purchase
  • Free 3 samples with any purchase
  • Free shipping on any purchase
  • 25% off sale item

I bought Clarins Foundation Extra Comfort SPF15 which is a sale item. I used promo code EXTRA25 to get 25% off. The regular price is $63, I paid $47.25 + tax + free shipping.

Here are the 15 free gifts with $50 purchase! Very happy with what I got! It was a flash sale for 4 hours only as I remember. Such a generous offer. Usually, you need to make a purchase at least $125 to get freebies like that.

The 3 free samples I chose at checkout.

Lol, I also went to take a look at the gift using coupon EXCLUSIVE where you included the red arrow in your response, but I don’t see that one either. Weird.

It is weird. The selection of free gifts shows up in the box based on how much in your cart. I have over $180 items in the cart. Try adding more stuff to your cart to see if more freebies show up or not.

Also, the FREE TREATS page is a good place to look: https://www.bluemercury.com/collections/treats-for-you. But, this page might not include everything, like the code EXCLUSIVE!

    Hey Kathy!
    I got the same gift.
Check the Ren lotion expiration date. Mine expired in 2012.
I had to call customer service.

That was a great deal! I was late to the party and missed out on this one, though I don’t shop at Blue Mercury much. It drives me crazy that if the sample or samples you pick at check out are out of stock, they don’t substitute, they just send your order without samples. It just seems so strange to me so I tend to make my bigger purchases elsewhere because I’d be annoyed if the same thing happens with a gift with purchase.

Contact customer service if that happens to you! Their CS is pretty good, they want to make you happy. Try online chat with them, they might send you replacements or a free gift card. There are more and more Bluemercury opening up inside of Macy’s, check it out! I’d feel more comfortable to make a big purchase if there is a store nearby. Macy’s owns Bluemercury.

Well I placed a big order with a coupon code last night so I’ll see how it goes! The other weird thing about Blue Mercury is the way the freebies and coupon codes suddenly become available and disappear. While I was shopping last night I decided to use the onthego coupon code which is advertised all over the site and I kept getting a message the code wasn’t valid. (I’ve never before used the code, tried all caps, all lowercase letters, etc.) So I looked at codes again and entered code girl, which would not work. I looked at the list again and the girl code had disappeared, but I saw a new one — code luxe. I was able to check out using code luxe, but when I went back to double check what all was included, that code too had disappeared. I added stuff to the cart and tried the ontego code again out of curiosity and it worked, but neither luxe nor girl would work. Very strange and it makes me wonder what I will actually receive. Have you ever had those sort of problems?

        • Kathy says:

Nope, I never had that problem before. I guess it’s just their system got some issues at the time you were placing the order.

I always add the free treats on the cart page. If I need to add code EXTRA25 for the 25% off sale items, I’d add this coupon code on the payment/shipping page which is after the cart page.

The girls on the Chat are very helpful. When I ran into the problem, I just did a little chit chat with one of them!
